James earned a BS in marketing management, cum laude, from the Boston School of Management. James earned his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he was the John Shapard Scholar. He also earned his MBA at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
James has been practicing law for over thirty years in several U.S. jurisdictions, most recently serving as Chief Legal Officer, Head of Legal, or General Counsel of several mid-sized corporations. In these roles he managed corporate litigation in both state and federal courts, as appropriate, for firms located in London, New York City, Nashville, and Los Angeles. James successfully settled cases to achieve results at minimal cost to the company.
James has a limited corporation counsel license in the state of Nevada and is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association.
