Akeem Benn received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. While in law school, Akeem was involved with her law school’s Disability and Civil Rights Clinic, and served as Associate Research Editor for the Journal of Law and Policy.
Akeem is committed to protecting the rights of individuals harmed by unfair business practices, negligence, and systemic inequities. Prior to joining the firm, she focused her practice on corporate law, which gave her valuable insight into business operations while strengthening her passion for advocating for everyday people.
Throughout her legal career, Akeem has combined academic excellence with hands-on advocacy work related to personal injury, legal aid, and housing rights advocacy. These experiences allowed her to work directly with individuals navigating complex legal challenges, reinforcing her commitment to ensuring access to justice for vulnerable communities.
Her background in both corporate and public-interest work gives her a unique perspective in consumer advocacy, enabling her to approach cases with both strategic insight and compassion.
